The ARES 70105 is an exceptional multi-purpose heavy-duty shear at a decent price. It cuts cleanly through insulated copper wire up to #10, as well as wire, soft cable, insulation, and even nylon strapping tape. Although they may be too small for those with larger hands, they are ideal for general-purpose tasks. They also have a slight serration, which prevents items from popping out of the blades when cutting - perfect for cutting Ethernet cables. The blade has only one side cut out, which some people found inconvenient for wire stripping/cutting. The product has some quality issues and should be sold with a belt carrier. The only real issue is that the price of $20 is not as competitive as some other snips on the market, but these snips are superior in terms of quality than the others. Overall, it's worth spending a little more to get your hands on these.
