The Key-Bak Sidekick Professional Heavy Duty Self Retracting ID Badge Key Reel with Retractable Kevlar Cord is an excellent addition to anyone who carries keys and an ID badge on them. It is half the size of the standard retractors, but can still hold up to 5 keys and an ID badge. The clip is durable but not flexible as it is directly attached to the holder. It extends up to 20 inches, uses Kevlar cord and can hold up to 4oz. of retraction force. Unfortunately, it cannot be locked in an open position but the badge holder can be removed if desired. The overwhelming majority of customers were pleased with the purchase, stating that the retention and snap back force of the retractor were excellent. However, one customer complained of the hinged part on the clasp breaking off easily. Another griped that it was too loud when walking. Despite a few shortcomings, this product seems to live up to its heavy-duty name and will likely last an acceptable amount of time.
