The Swell Pressure Filter Deluxe 17000 is a garden pond filter that features both biological and mechanical media. It also includes a UV clarifier for killing algae in the pond. The filter itself is 23 and a quarter inches tall and comes with an on/off switch for the UV light. It can be used without the UV light, but it won't be as effective in killing off algae. While some customers have found success with this filter and have praised its performance in cleaning their ponds, there have been a number of negative reviews as well. One customer mentioned that the filter requires a lot of dismantling to clean the filter elements, which can be a hassle. Another customer had issues with the UV unit failing and finding difficulty in getting a replacement power pack. There have also been complaints about leaks in the filter, particularly around the screws and the connection to the inlet and outlet. Some customers have mentioned that the rubber O-rings provided are of poor quality, leading to the need for additional sealing measures.
