The door is easy to install and remove as the top is spring-loaded and fits patio doors leading to outdoor patios or yards. The flap size is 5 x 7, and it is made with one strip of single-pane glass. However, it does not lock. Overall, the door is an excellent purchase. Three super active cats adapted to it right away, and the flap was propped open initially to allow the cats to get used to it. The thickness of the panel is 5/8", and the width, including the thin insulating strip, is 9 7/8". The door works even for tall sliding glass doors, with one customer having 79 inches tall doors and still having a little more than one inch extension.
