The ARES 70034-2-in-1 Socket Bit Holder is a handy tool that allows for easy switching between 1/4-inch drive sockets and bits. It is not magnetic, but it works with double-ended screwdriver bits as long as they have the indented notch on each end. The bit holder can seat a 1/4-inch bit up to 1/2-inch deep. It is impact-ready and the red sleeve locks and unlocks the bit. While it is sturdy and strong, it is not recommended for use in a hammer drill. The bit holder fits all 1/4-inch drive impact drivers and drill/drivers with a standard adjustable chuck. It holds hex bits well and has a reliable quick release mechanism. However, its durability for long-term use is uncertain. It is not suitable for use with wire wheels that have a drill bit backing.
