As an industry-standard product for mechanical drafting, it is great for printing CAD work, and is smooth-textured, making it perfect for use with ink or pencil. It is 24 inches wide and 10 yards long, and is made from 100% cotton, which means that it's soft and durable. Although it cannot be specified regarding its thickness, a retired architect calculated it to be around 5 mills thick. It takes pencil and ink well, and is highly adaptable as it can be used for a variety of media. There are also grid versions available on the Clearprint website. However, packaging and roll sizes have been an issue, resulting in brittleness, tears and creases.
