The Flowmaster 530504 3" In/2.5" Out D 50 series muffler is heavy-duty and has a nice sound, although it's louder than some customers expected. It has good sound at cold start and is quiet on the freeway and around 2000 RPM. While it gets loud under load, the sound is not too much for the cab. One reviewer replaced a loud muffler with the Flowmaster and was pleasantly surprised by the quiet ride. Another said it's perfect for their 2003 Silverado HD 2500, with a quiet rumble when they step on it. However, one reviewer found that their mild-sound muffler droned in the cab.
