Need a 74inch high pet insert for sliding patio door, which one will adjust down to that size?
Answer: The doors we have can fit from 77 5/8' to 80 3/8', or 93 3/4' to 96 1/2'. We do not have a door that fits that size you need. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. -

How does this door hold up in the winter? Does it keep the cold breeze out?
Answer: I bought heavier weather stripping and place it in the door jam and on edge. I cut an old piece of pvc pipe to fit behind slider door to hold it tight against the doggie door edge. No cold air came in. I made sure to put the doggie door solid door block to make sure neighborhood cats did not come in the house at night. -

How thick are the sides of the small? I don't want to have to remove the latch that allows the sliding glass door to lock when the pet door is not in
Answer: The Ideal Fast Fit is roughly 7/8' thick, generally you have to remove the locking mechanism to achieve a proper fit. -

Can you replace the just the flap?
Answer: Yes, the flap is replaceable. -

What size dog?
Answer: This flap size is 5wx7h. Make sure that the flap is big enough that your pet has an 1' over their back to go through. -

Can you be more specific on measuring the inside track? Do I measure to the bottom of the inside track or to the top of the bottom inside track?
Answer: Measure from the inside tack top to bottom up and down. -
Question:
Will this fit on either side of a slider? My slider opens pulling left to right?
Answer: Yes, it will fit either side as far as I can tell. Mine also opens pulling left to right and I had no trouble installing it myself. However, I haven't done the lock (it does have a locking mechanism) - I use one of those bars to prevent the door from being opened. I love the fact that it's so small - perfect for a cat. It does take a bit of work to get it into the grooves in the door frame but I did it, be patient. -

Would this be suitable for a double sliding door?
Answer: Hi, we installed this model in a typical two-door, sliding glass door system. One panel is always fixed, the other panel has the latch and is the moving door. This is installed next to the latch system, then the moving door slides up snug to it. In some cases, the latch hook may need to be removed from the door handle to get a snug fit. We used some weatherstripping to ensure a weather tight fit. For security, you should purchase one or two heavy duty pins that will secure the upper (and lower) part of the sliding glass door to the frame so it can't be opened. You will lose the functionality of this sliding glass door, unless you get creative and figure out something else so you can open and close the door. Nice product, works as advertised! -

Does this door come with a cover for the pet door flap, to keep it closed if desired?
Answer: Yes, the flap pulls up and can be set aside until you want to replace it to keep pet inside or outside.
