The build quality is decent and the switches feel nice. The RGB functions can be controlled using FN keys. However, the LED brightness might not be suitable for someone who prefers a bright backlight. The keyboard is hot swappable for 3 pin and 5 pin switches. Although it is user-friendly, there appear to be concerns regarding the software. The keyboard runs on a Chinese driver, port 80 is opened to allow an unencrypted connection via an Alibaba cloud server in China to your Windows device. Its instructions are in Chinese, and users are advised to have their translation app ready. The app demands access past the firewall in both directions to an unknown Chinese server, so it might be used at one’s own risk. Overall, the IROK keyboard is a decent product that caters to those on a budget who want to try modding.
