- Product OverviewThe Sundown Audio E-10 V.4 D2 is a 10 inch car audio subwoofer built for users who want controlled low frequency output in a compact installation format. It uses a dual 2 ohm voice coil design, 750 watts RMS power handling, and 1500 watts peak power handling to support strong bass performance when paired with a compatible amplifier. The E-10 V.4 D2 is engineered for ported enclosures and is intended for systems where enclosure tuning and amplifier matching are important to the final soundBass PerformanceThis subwoofer is designed around a 2.5 inch voice coil, a double stacked magnet structure, and a motor geometry that supports 14mm one way linear Xmax. The result is a driver that can move enough air to produce deep bass response while maintaining usable control from a 10 inch cone. Its 32.2Hz Fs, 17.418 BL rating, and 82.486 dB sensitivity are integrated into the design to help balance output, control, and low frequency extension in properly built car audio systemsInstallation UseThe E-10 V.4 D2 is optimized for a 1.0 cu ft ported enclosure with 15 sq in of recommended port area and 35Hz tuning. Sealed enclosure use is not recommended for this model. For 4th order applications, Sundown lists a 0.4 cu ft sealed side, a 1.2 cu ft ported side, 24 sq in of port area, and a 6 inch port length.
