Are this shoes non slip on black ice ?
Answer: No they are not. They are fantastic shoes. I have put on around 200 miles on mine and they are wearing superbly. I am very hard on my shoes. I over probate and really wear my heals down. These shoes are very comfortable and they are the first pair of hiking shoes I’ve ever purchased. I normally wear a real good brand of cross trainers. Like I said I over pronate and wear heels out quickly. I walk every day, last year my dog and I walked 2400 miles. I wore out 4 pairs of cross trainers and then I purchased Nortiv8 hikers. I will be purchasing the Nortiv8 again -

Are this shoes waterproof ?
Answer: To begin with they were. However, after wearing for 4 months the toe cap separated from the body of the shoe and when that happened they leaked water. I solved the problem be regluing the toe cap. I had to repeat this process several times. I will not buy this shoe again. -

I am normally an 11.5 us size. do i order an 11 or a 12? my toe to heel measures exactly 11.5"
Answer: I would go with a 12 as I too am a 11.5 and returned the shoes as they were not that comfortable. -

What to buy if you are 10.5 wide?
Answer: Probably go a size up. These shoes are fairly wide but my size 14 seems a tad tight in the length so they do seem to run a little small in that realm. Width wise, if I would’ve bought mine in a wide size they would’ve been insanely loose but the insoles seems to do a great job of molding to your feet
