    Answer: Yes the high strings are steel however the low strings are nickleplated steel as it adds to a more bassier tone. Hope that helped :)

  • Question: I've own them before love them only question is what's the difference between the acoustic and electric ??? I saw copper zinc

    Answer: That's the difference, the copper zinc winding, basically a phosphor bronze heavy on the copper... the Electric strings are 8% nickel plated steel wrap wire on a tinned mandolin wire hexcore.

    Answer: No Lml but they are a shiny silver color. I think the blue is a type of metal or something
